Parish Groups

Bereavement Group

A bereavement ministry exists as an outreach to provide comfort and support to fellow parishioners who have experienced loss and grief because of the death of a loved one. Concerned and dedicated parishioners offer prayer and assistance, home visitation and follow up contacts to the bereaved. Team members assist the family in preparing the Liturgy for the funeral. A booklet “How to Grieve” is sent to each family to assist them in this time of loss. Each year the Sunday after All Souls Day we offer a special memorial Mass for the deceased of the parish. Family members are invited to attend the Mass and take part in a friendly social after the Mass. Our goal is to lend a warm touch to those who mourn, in imitation of the gentle healing love of Christ. If you are interested in joining our Bereavement Care team, please contact Sister Marita Anthony, 215-333-8214 or the Rectory 215-333-0585.

Respect Life

The Respect Life Committee promotes the sanctity of life through: 1. The Annual Baby Shower (which helps families in the parish as well as local crisis pregnancy homes) 2. Commemoration of Pro-Life Sunday 3. The Mother’s Day celebration with the sale of roses 4. Distribution of Pro-Life Voter’s Guides. The members are only called upon to assist with the functions mentioned. We do not meet often but when we do have meetings they are held in the teacher’s lounge in the school. For more information please click on the Respect Life link.

Men’s Faith Sharing Group

The Men’s Faith Sharing Group is a chance to meet with other men of the parish and offer up the Divine Mercy Chaplet for various intentions offered up by the group. We discuss a reading and various topics and have coffee and donuts. Please try to attend a meeting. Parishes around the Diocese have men group meetings and are growing. Each meeting is a stand-alone meeting and you are welcome anytime. We meet in the rectory basement the second Saturday of each month 5 minutes after the 8:30 AM Mass ends. Go to the side door of the rectory and ring the bell on the door and someone will come up to let you in. If you have any questions or would like to confirm attendance, please email or text or call 215-964-7725. Thank you.
