Parish Groups

Bereavement Group

A bereavement ministry exists as an outreach to provide comfort and support to fellow parishioners who have experienced loss and grief because of the death of a loved one. Concerned and dedicated parishioners offer prayer and assistance, home visitation and follow up contacts to the bereaved. Team members assist the family in preparing the Liturgy for the funeral. A booklet “How to Grieve” is sent to each family to assist them in this time of loss. Each year the Sunday after All Souls Day we offer a special memorial Mass for the deceased of the parish. Family members are invited to attend the Mass and take part in a friendly social after the Mass. Our goal is to lend a warm touch to those who mourn, in imitation of the gentle healing love of Christ. If you are interested in joining our Bereavement Care team, please contact Sister Marita Anthony, 215-333-8214 or the Rectory 215-333-0585.

Respect Life

The Respect Life Committee promotes the sanctity of life through:
1. The Annual Baby Shower (which helps families in the parish as well as local crisis pregnancy homes).
2. Commemoration of Pro-Life Sunday.
3. The Mother’s Day celebration with the sale of roses.
4. Distribution of Pro-Life Voter’s Guides.
The members are only called upon to assist with the functions mentioned.  We do not meet often.  Meetings are held in the teacher’s lounge in the school.  For more information please click on the Respect Life link.
